Road closures and temporary traffic restrictions
Due to works currently being carried out by United Utilities on the embankment at New Years Bridge there is one lane closed on the A640 Huddersfield Road (between Huddersfield and Denshaw) on the bend by the reservoir.
This will still be in place on Whit Friday 2012.
Greenfield Contest
Chew Valley Road will again be closed to all traffic other than residents and PSVs. Coaches will not be permitted to follow the bands along Chew Valley Road. Instead they must turn into Greenbridge Lane and then return towards Uppermill.

A word of warning
At Lydgate crossroads, coach drivers are warned to be extra careful if they have a long wheel-base vehicle, because of the sharp change in camber.
